Dorothy Wright is a Las Vegas historian and passionate advocate of historic preservation. Arriving in Las Vegas in 1969 to go to college, she ended up making Las Vegas her home. She has a Master’s Degree in history from UNLV and has spent many years working to save historic buildings and neon signs.
Dorothy worked with her late husband, historian Frank Wright, to finish editing Nevada Yesterdays, the book taken from the public radio show that Frank wrote for 15 years. Currently Dorothy is employed by Clark County Parks and Recreation where she is busy coordinating the county’s upcoming 2009 Centennial Celebration.
